Why do you get vaccinated for influenza?
I get vaccinated for influenza so I don’t get sick and pass the illness along to the students I care for, and my family and friends.

Why do you think it is important for people in your line of work to get vaccinated?
Nurses have a duty to protect and care for our patients. If we don’t get vaccinated and become ill, we cannot care for our patients and risk spreading the illness to them.

Have you ever had or heard of a bad event after someone has not gotten vaccinated for influenza?
Yes I know of 2 students who were hospitalized due to complications from influenza. Each of these students was healthy and had not been previously vaccinated.
